Get Connected Entrepreneurial Summit 2025

Behind the Scenes of the Get Connected Entrepreneurial Summit 2025: How One Day Can Change the Trajectory of Your Business

What if one day, just one, could shift the way you see your business, your goals, and even yourself as an entrepreneur?

That’s the energy pulsing behind the Get Connected Entrepreneurial Summit 2025, happening this December at the Golden Chersonese Media Hall, Kuala Lumpur. It’s not just another business event. It’s a living, breathing ecosystem where founders, creators, investors, and dreamers collide, and leave transformed.

Let me take you behind the scenes of what’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting, empowering, and purpose-driven entrepreneurial gatherings in Malaysia this year.

1. How It All Started: From Coffee Conversations to a Movement

The idea for Get Connected wasn’t born in a boardroom. It started years ago (2017) as an informal meet-up between passionate small business owners who were tired of going it alone. They wanted community—real, supportive, local, and affordable.

What began as a handful of entrepreneurs sharing advice over coffee has evolved into a thriving network spanning hundreds of small business owners, freelancers, and start-ups across Malaysia and beyond.

Now, in 2025, the Get Connected Summit isn’t just a conference, it’s the heartbeat of a movement. It’s where ideas meet opportunity, and where businesses that start as side hustles find their footing as sustainable, purpose-led brands.

2. What Makes This Summit Different

You’ve seen events that promise “networking opportunities” and “business growth,” right? So what sets this one apart?

It’s simple: authentic connection.

Get Connected doesn’t believe in stiff suits, cookie-cutter panels, or forced handshakes. Instead, it’s a dynamic, interactive experience that blends:

  • Inspirational keynotes from founders who started with nothing but grit and a dream

  • Practical workshops that teach you how to scale, market, and protect your business

  • The Entrepreneur’s Bazaar a vibrant showcase where local brands can sell, demo, and network

  • Investor meetups designed for genuine conversations (no 5-minute elevator-pitch chaos)

  • Wellness and mindset sessions that remind you: success isn’t just profit—it’s purpose, balance, and peace

This year’s theme, “Building Better Together,” reminds every attendee that entrepreneurship isn’t a solo sport, it’s a team effort. And at Get Connected, you’ll find your team.

3. The Heartbeat: Real People, Real Stories

Behind the Summit’s glossy banners and Instagram-worthy moments are the humans who make it happen.

There’s Jay Shiva, the visionary founder of Get Connected, who started this community after watching too many entrepreneurs burn out before their ideas had a chance to shine. “I wanted to create a safe space,” Jay says, “where entrepreneurs could grow without fear, share without ego, and collaborate without competition.”

There’s Harry Dimitriadis and James Hutton, the co-founders of HSJ Host, and this year’s headline sponsor, who embody the spirit of digital empowerment. Their story began in Melbourne, but their mission spans continents: helping small businesses harness technology without the headaches.

And then there are the dozens of local vendors, creators, and service providers who pour their hearts into booths, presentations, and conversations, all for one purpose: to lift each other up.

When you walk through those Summit doors, you’ll feel it. That buzz of belonging. That sense that everyone here gets it. Because they do.

4. What You’ll Experience: A Day That Feels Like a Week of Progress

The Get Connected Summit 2025 is built around immersion. You don’t just attend, you participate.

Imagine starting your morning with coffee and live music, mingling with founders who share your grind. Then diving into a masterclass on digital marketing, led by experts who’ve actually built six-figure online stores from scratch.

By lunchtime, you might be shaking hands with an investor, sharing stories with a wellness coach, or joining a panel discussion on AI and the future of small business.

By evening? You’ll walk away not just inspired but equipped. With strategies, leads, and a clearer sense of your next step.

And that’s the secret sauce: you won’t leave overwhelmed. You’ll leave ready.

5. Why Entrepreneurs Keep Coming Back

Each year, the feedback is the same: “I came for the networking… and stayed for the transformation.”

Attendees say the Summit feels like a reset button, a reminder of why they started in the first place. Whether you’re launching your first product, scaling your service-based business, or looking for partnerships, the connections you make here aren’t just surface-level.

They’re the kind that spark collaborations, ignite projects, and turn ideas into income.

It’s no surprise that many of last year’s vendors have since grown into full-fledged brands, some even exporting their products internationally. That’s what Get Connected does, it helps people move from dreamers to doers.

Entry to the event is free and we are welcoming donations from public to raise money for the Sai Pandian Orphanage Children Home (2, Jalan Setia Indah U13/11D, Setia Alam, 40170 Shah Alam, Selangor).

Mr Pandian Sundaresan, previously a transportation supervisor opened this home in 2011. He never planned to run an orphanage, the home began as an old folks home but when people started bringing children in, he realised this was the work he was meant to do.

He has been working tirelessly (and alone with only the support of Santamary, another single mother and a senior citizen) for the past 17 years looking after underprivileged children. This is no easy task. Monthly expenses reach RM12,000.

6. The Value: Why This Isn’t Just Another Ticket

Let’s be honest. You could spend your weekend scrolling through LinkedIn advice threads and YouTube tutorials or you could spend one powerful day surrounded by momentum.

Here’s the real value of attending:

  • You’ll meet your next client, partner, or mentor. The kind of person who opens doors you didn’t know existed.

  • You’ll learn strategies that work in the real world, from people who’ve actually done it, not just talked about it.

  • You’ll feel renewed. Because running a business is hard, and sometimes the best ROI is remembering you’re not alone.

And if you’re a vendor, this is your chance to showcase your brand in front of an audience that’s actively looking for local services and products. Booths are limited and always sell out, because Get Connected isn’t about volume; it’s about visibility.

7. The Call: Don’t Just Watch—Be Part of It

Here’s the truth: you can keep waiting for the “right moment” to grow your business, or you can make that moment happen now.

The Get Connected Entrepreneurial Summit 2025 is more than an event, it’s a launchpad. A chance to step into rooms that elevate your vision, connect with people who believe in collaboration over competition, and leave with a renewed sense of drive.

If you’re ready to grow your network, expand your impact, or finally put your brand on the map. This is where you start.

In addition to the home, we are raising a dedicated relief fund for three urgent personal cases:

1. Baby Niralya, 27 months

Requires aortic root translocation for complex congenital heart disease. This advanced repair, also called the Bex Nikaidoh approach, anatomically restores outflow and can reduce future re operations compared with conduit based strategies. This is a recognised surgical approach for select anatomies and offers anatomical correction with growth potential.

2. Ms Lakshmi Mohan, retired staff nurse

Lives with severe spinal compression and impingement, vision loss in one eye, chronic pain and frequent hospital visits. Requested support covers hospital bills, pain medication and transportation.

3. Ms Sivalila Balakrishnan, HRD Corp trainer

Partially blind in one eye and a wheelchair user after a leg amputation. Public reporting shows her continued training and micro enterprise work with B40 women despite disability. Requested support covers medical bills, rent, adaptive equipment and mobility aids to protect dignity and income continuity.

Why this matters

Without stable support, homes like Sai Pandian face food volatility, deferred medical checks, and interrupted schooling. Sai Pandian’s needs are concrete and recurring. Corporate giving has already shown practical pathways to impact, such as food deliveries and festive support that reach the children directly. The Star 5 December 2025.

For the three individuals, delays mean disease progression, unmanaged pain, and loss of mobility and dignity and possibly loss of life.
